She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Higgs (Helen Skinner) and Faye; her grandparents, Cabble and Hattie Higgs; her husband Melvin E. Wood; and her siblings, Matthew "Buddy" Higgs and Judy Higgs.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Scott (Matt) and Michelle Goodman (Kyle); her grandchildren, Ashley Crowder, Justin Crowder, Katelyn Scott, Peyton Scott and Maelyn Goodman; her great grandchildren, Ayden Edmonds and Lillian Edmonds; and her brother Ron Higgs.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fair Funeral Home (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (1821 Ashley Loop, Reidsville, NC 27320).
