She was predeceased by: her parents, Elder Raymond Hairston, Sr. and Lois Scales Hairston; her husband Nathaniel Martin; her children, Jerry Hairston and Cecilia Jackson; and her siblings, Reverend Fredderick Hairston, Raymond Hairston Jr., Bobby Ray Hairston, Mary A. Moyer, Maxine Witcher, Dorothy Hairston and Emma Gray Hairston.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Galloway of Greensboro, Willie "Bill" Hairston of Eden, Linda Hampton of Eden and Brenda Hampton of Woodbridge, Virginia; and her sister Gladioa Hampton of Axton, Virginia.
Viewing was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fulton - Walton Memorial Eden Chapel (417 Price St, Eden, NC 27288). A burial was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at the Hamlin Cemetery (747 Pervie Bolick St, Eden, NC 27288).
