It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Riddle Kasten of Eden, North Carolina, who passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Jennings Riddle and Martha Jane Riddle; her sister Betty Riddle Worsham; and her aunt Myrtle Riddle Blackwell. She is survived by: her husband Jerry L. Kasten; her daughter Kelly Kasten Stultz (Lee); her grandchildren, Liz Tucker (Adam) and Spencer Stultz (Andrea Gillie); her great grandchildren, Avery and Grace Tucker; her godson Matthew Ryan Kasten; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Malachi and Genesis Gillie.
She also served as chairperson of the Advocates of Eden group and was a founding member of the Rockingham County Education Foundation. She was a longtime member of the Morehead Hospital Board of Trustees and the Morehead Hospital Foundation.
