Though Carol Lowder may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Lowder and Harriet Lowder; her brothers, Charles Edwin Lowder and Claude "Billy" William Lowder; and her stepdaughter Neely Hope Ellis Hedrick.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Neal Ellis; her son John Connett, III (April) of Winston-Salem; and her stepdaughter Kim Bennett (Lane) of Ft. Myers, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
