With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Mae DeHart Greenwale of Eden, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Charles DeHart and Maysie Rea Watts; her husband Jesse James Greenwale; her daughter Pattie Edmond; her granddaughter Tracy McAdams; her great grandchildren, Morella and Bradley Flint; and her siblings, Mary Doss, J. M. DeHart, Charlie DeHart, Harold DeHart and Earl Shelor.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Greenwale (Doris) of Patrick Springs, VA, Susan Greenwale (Bob) of Eden, NC and James Greenwale (Linda) of Patrick Springs, VA; and her grandchildren, Varian Greenwale (Jennifer), Robin Davis, Melissa West, Allison Edmond, Hunter Edmond, Jessica Flint, Jennifer Greenwale (John) and Amanda Craig (Lee). She is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
