She was predeceased by: her parents, Ada Ambrose Sawyer and Reverne S. Sawyer. She is survived by: her siblings, Pamela Walston of Creswell, NC, Polly Sawyer of Manteo, NC and Tony Sawyer (Earlene) of Manteo, NC; and her uncle Coy Ambrose (Jeannette) of Manns Harbor, NC.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
