He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine Simmons Cahoon and Wilbur Wright Cahoon; his wife Violet Spruill Cahoon; and his siblings, Marcelene Basnight, Illa Mae Ambrose, Fowler Miller Cahoon, Sr., Herman Cahoon and Roger Cahoon, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Christine Burgess of Manns Harbor, Norman Cahoon, Jr. of Manns Harbor, Wilbur Cahoon of Manns Harbor, Loubet Cahoon of Wanchese and Barry Cahoon of Manns Harbor; and his sister Faye Terry of Jonesville, VA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Twiford Funeral Home (PO Box 595, Manteo, NC 27954) to help offset funeral expenses.
