It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Victor Penley of East Flat Rock, North Carolina, who passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 29, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his sons, Lucus and Malakai; his parents, Brian Huscusson and Teresa Huscusson; his birth parents, Ralph Penley (Kim) and Beth LaFleur; his grandparents, Raymond, Peggy Huscusson, Chris Grant and Leila Penley; his siblings, Brittanie LaFleur, Taylor Smith (Chevy), Dakota Mitchell (Josh), Brian Penley (Leah) and Scott Sarratt (Brittany); and his nieces, Nori Clark, Macayla and Maddy Sarratt. He is also survived by extended family, comprising numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

In honor of Russell's memory, the family kindly requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Carpenter's Hands Ministry.
