Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Norman Gwyn Lyon (East Bend, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 81, on February 13, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lyon and Lexie Pruitt Lyon; his wife Betty Lee Finney Lyon; and his siblings, Francis Wade, Brantley Shaver and Glyde Shaver.
He is survived by: his sons, Darrell Lyon (Amy) and Terry Lyon (Denise); and his grandchildren, Blake Lyon (Shellie), Brandon Lyon, Jordan Lyon (Luisa), Moira Money, Lynden Lyon (Ryann), Emily Sims (Drew), Hank Ward (Alexis) and Molly Reeves. He is also survived by Eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gentry Family Funeral Service of East Bend (428 E Main St, East Bend, NC 27018). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the East Bend Friends Church (128 Quaker Ave, East Bend, NC 27018). A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at the same location.
