It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Poindexter Jr. (East Bend, North Carolina), who passed away on March 1, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Matthew Poindexter Sr. and Ruth Scott Poindexter; and his wife Lucille Powell Poindexter. He is survived by : his daughters, Penny Spainhour (Michael Creed) of East Bend and Mitzi Hutchens (Jeff) of East Bend; his sister Jean Hauser (Don) of King; his grandchildren, Terri Hutchens (Matt Spainhour) of King, Jeffery Hutchens (Sabrina) of East Bend, Ladale Spainhour (Josh Burns) of East Bend, Nikki Spainhour (Richard Johnston) of East Bend and Nathan Creed; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Gracie, Alexandra, Cassie, Lucy and McLaren.
