He was loved and cherished by many people including : his mother Martha Jane Kirk Matthews; his wife Karen Hodges Matthews; his sons, Kirk Matthews (Emily) and Kyle Matthews (Amy); his father Kenneth Gray Matthews; his granddaughters, Addie Gray Matthews and Ella Jane Matthews; his brother Mark Matthews (Julie); his aunts, Anne Hardy and Hazel Matthews; and his granddaughter Addie Gray.
