He was predeceased by : his wife Pam; and his siblings, Columbia and Johnny. He is survived by : his children, Dean Gilliam (Mary Ellen) of East Bend, Diane Webb (Tim) of Boonville, Denise Kimrey (Kevin) of Black Mountain, Darren Gilliam of Greensboro, Michael Shipley (Aimie) of Yadkinville and Tommy Shipley (Brooke) of Mocksville; and his siblings, Margaret Simmons (Malin) of Jonesville, Barry Gilliam of Jonesville and Nancy Brown (Kent) of Hamptonville. He is also survived by seven grand-children and six great-grand-children.
