We are sad to announce that on March 10, 2025 we had to say goodbye to David Ray Phillips of East Bend, North Carolina. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lettie V. Phillips and Alonzo Lee Phillips; his brother Edford Dallas Phillips; his stepfather Charlie Jacob Tise Sr.; and his siblings, Charles Jacob Tise Jr., Thurmond Lee Phillips, Billy Gray Phillips and Peggy Beckerdite.

He is survived by: his wife Frances; his children, David Ray Phillips Jr. (Jennifer) of East Bend, Ricky Allen Phillips (Susie) of East Bend and Kim Renee Reid (Mike) of Salisbury; his siblings, Roger Dale Phillips of Westfield and Linda Tice (Roger) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Jill Renee Phillips of East Bend, Courtney Carol Phillips of East Bend, Austin Ray Phillips of East Bend, Andrew Christian Purcell and Graham Jacob Purcell of Salisbury; and his great grandchildren, Raylee Page, Noah Preslar and Mary Frances. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Shallowford Baptist Church (2440 Beroth Rd, Pfafftown, NC 27040). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
