He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. "Tunie" Wall and Lillie Viola Smith Wall; his former wife Zena Mae Smitherman; and his brothers, John William "J. W." Wall (Kate) and Carroll Lee Wall.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Martin Wall; his sons, Jerry L. Wall of Winston-Salem and Randy D. Wall (Tracy) of Ronda; his granddaughters, Jennifer L. Beane (Phillip) of Greensboro and Jeannie L. Hinson (Richard) of Greensboro; his great grandchildren, Kyndall Beane, Cohen Beane and Connor Hinson; and his sister-in-law Jolene Sheek. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either American Legion Post 336, 220 Legion Drive, East Bend, NC 27018 or to the East Bend Volunteer Fire Department, 200 School Street, East Bend, NC 27018.
