He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Patrick and Panthea Huffines Lambeth; his daughter Anne Elizabeth Lambeth; and his siblings, Judith Patricia Lambeth, Randolph J. Lambeth and Joseph P. Lambeth, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Altvater Lambeth; his children, Scott Davis Lambeth of Chapel Hill and Katherine Courtney Lambeth; his grandchildren, Zachary Lambeth Roberts (Monica), Greta Zavodni and Simon Zavodni; and his great grandchildren, Sadie Roberts and Marshall Roberts.
