It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Edward Ray (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, William Edward shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid William Edward farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Jewel; and his siblings, Millard Ray (Mary), Milton Ray (Lilian), Bobbie Jean Pennington and Lewis Ray (Patsy).
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Oak Grove Ruritan Club (301 Stallings Rd, Durham, NC 27703).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you carry on his legacy donating to his son's nonprofit for kids with cancer.
