He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Gable Matthews, Sr. and Gertrude Matthews Smith; his wife Gelonda Matthews; and his sister Anne Clayton. He is survived by: his sons, Justin Byron Matthews and Jonathan Gable Matthews; his granddaughter Grace Matthews; and his siblings, Bill Matthews, Steve Matthews and Ellen O'Briant.
