He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jessup and Channie Williams; and his siblings, Lenola D. Rose, John L. Jessup and Alfred D. Jessup.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Delois Vines; his children, Maurice Lyles (Tonia), Carl Lyles (Kerri) and Tarsha James (Terrill); his grandchildren, Victoria, Kaleigh and Tyler; his sister Shari Spencer (Tyrone); and his niece Deatra Roberts. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
