It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Morgan (Durham, North Carolina), born in Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on June 11, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Helen Wood Morgan Speed and Rufus Reese Morgan; his grandson Andrew Stansell; and his sisters, Joann Wedel, Shirley Rigsbee and Carol Couch.

He is survived by : his wife Jacqueline Gonzalez Morgan; his children, Lauri Morgan Norman (Rob) and Richard Wood Morgan Jr. (Blair); his stepdaughter Rachel Erickson Hee (Andrew); his grandchildren, Matthew Stansell (Andi), Jane Morgan, Richard Wood Morgan III, Davis Morgan, Lee Winchester (Allison), Ethan Norman (Macy), Annabelle Hee and Alex Hee; and his great grandchild James Winchester.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, June 23rd 2024 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at 305 S Dillard St, Durham, NC 27701.
