He is survived by: his wife Susan Shepherd; his children, Preston Lee Shepherd, Jr. (Katie) and Tanya Marie Shepherd; his brothers, Rodney Shepherd, Kent Shepherd and Jeff Shepherd (Tammy); his grandchildren, Callie Shepherd, Lillie Shepherd and Tyler Preston Shepherd; his nephew Justin Parker Shepherd; and his close friend Amos Rozier. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.
