Orville Wally Powell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Orville Wally Powell of Durham, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Orville Wally Powell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Powell and Doll Powell; and his son David Michael Powell. He is survived by: his wife Dianne L. Powell; his daughter Sandy Powell; his daughter-in-law Pilar Powell; his grandchildren, Christine Sparks (Devin), Mason Powell, Campbelle "Belle" Powell, Marek Powell and Janey Phelps; his great grandchildren, Caylee Bertolette (Sparks), Gracelynn Sparks, Andrew Sparks, Audrey McGee and David Powell; and also Joe Harvard. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (305 E Main St, Durham, NC 27701).
