He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman H. Sechrist and Patty Elizabeth Bain; his siblings, Robert, Curtis and Barbara; his children, Michael Christopher Sechrist and Karen Riley Woodard; and his granddaughter Veronica Anne McCormick.
He is survived by: his wife Coleen H. Sechrist; his daughters, Rhonda McCormick (Ken) of Hillsborough, NC and Elizabeth Dawn Smith of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Ray McCormick (Robin) of Casa Grande, AZ and Jennifer Lynn McCormick of Timberlake, NC; and his daughters, Michelle Blevins of Roaring River, NC and Suzanne Renee Miller of Elkin, NC.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
