We are sad to announce that on January 30, 2025, at the age of 100, Maxie Bray Honeycutt of Durham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Maxie Bray find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ava Cox Bray and Lee Noy Bray; and her siblings, Curtis Bray, Carl Bray and Dorothy Maness.
She is survived by: her son Michael Honeycutt; her son-in-law Paul Pasquarella of Durham; her sister Henrietta Taylor of Bear Creek; and her sister-in-law Jerry Boles of Cary. She is also survived by seven nieces, five nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (305 E Main St, Durham, NC 27701).
She was a strong believer in the work of the First Presbyterian Church Walk-In Ministry, and anyone so inclined might honor her with a contribution to that ministry.
