He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Nellie Cody. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Cody; his sons, Quince Cody (Billie) of Charleston, SC and Bobby Cody (Ann) of Plymouth, NC; his brother Butler Cody (Essie) of Hickory, NC.; his grandchildren, Chelsea Ashley, Austin Cody (Ryan), Ivy Sutton (Will) and Blair Birtel (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Wyatt Ashley, Sadie Ashley and Emerson "Emmie" Sutton.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Durham Sports Club or Temple Baptist Church.
