She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Graham Harris and Ollie Dickerson Harris; her husband Eric Ray Evans; and her brother Bernard Harris. She is survived by: her children, Greg Evans (Barbara) of Durham and Karen Grafton (Roger) of Reidville, N. C.; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Grafton (Joanne), Jessica Loye (Matt), Elizabeth Fargis (Seth) and Blaine Barbee (Jason). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grove Park Chapel (805 Sherron Rd, Durham, NC 27703). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 3:15 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (1621 Duke University Rd, Durham, NC 27701).
