We are sad to announce that on March 13, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Lois (Poskel) Alpern of Durham, North Carolina, born in Detroit, Michigan. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Lois may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lois touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Julie Anne Anders; and her significant other Doug Ainsley. She is survived by: her daughters, Marlo Alpern Wilcox and Stacy Alpern Sutton; her son-in-law Dirk Wilcox; her grandchildren, Sophie Leigh Wilcox, Sam Philip Wilcox and Sarah Kate Anders; her pet Cali; and her family, Raleigh and Bloomfield Hills.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois' honor can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
