He was predeceased by: his parents, Leaton Cornelius Meachum Sr. and Mary Louise Herndon Meachum; and his stepson Mike Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Faye Meachum; his children, Troy Meachum (Sherry) and Linda Gamble Wiley; his grandchildren, Angela Ashworth (Ivan), Derek Briggs, Robbie Gamble, Taylor Meachum (Hannah Grace) and Trevor Wiley; and his great grandchildren, Ava Ashworth, Aubrey Ashworth, Jackson Briggs, Odie Briggs, Atlas Briggs and Leaton Meachum.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Home (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Chapel (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to ACR Cares, which is the ministry arm of ACR Supply. They work with numerous non-profits such as Roc-Solid Foundation, Operation Resolute, Ronald McDonald House as well as the ACR Cares (Cradle) Orphanage in Burkina Faso, Africa.
