She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie B. West and Mildred Holmes West. She is survived by: her husband William O. Melvin; her son William C. Melvin; her brother Charles West; and her children, Bobby Melvin (Linda), Betsy Miller and Debra Melvin. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
