He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Rufus Stubbs and Lucille Tickle Stubbs; and his brothers, Bill Stubbs, Don Stubbs and Louis Stubbs.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Stubbs; his children, Calvin Stubbs of Morrisville, Pamela Dempsey (Stanley) of Durham and Jo Ann Skipper (Tony) of Stem; his stepgrandson Bryan Dempsey of Burlington; and his brothers, Roger Stubbs (Martha) of Pittsboro and Tommy Stubbs (Carolyn) of Oxford.
