It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Mallard Jr. (Durham, North Carolina), born in Mount Olive, North Carolina, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilton Mallard and Frances Stephens Mallard; and his grandson Curtis John Watson. He is survived by: his wife Meri; his children, Amanda Watson (Chad) and Evan John Mallard (Jessica); his brother Timothy Van Mallard (Donna); his granddaughters, Emma Grace Watson, Margaret Gail Watson and Ava Leilani Mallard; and his niece Lindsay Michelle Mallard.
