He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harold Blake and Kathleen Bennett Blake; and his nephew Trinity Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Kilgore Blake; his children, Rachel Blake Taylor (Christopher), Sean Blake (Abbey) and Travis Blake (Ashley); his grandchildren, Kyleigh Taylor, Ellianna Taylor, Beau Blake and Birdie Blake; his siblings, David Blake (Diane), Ruth Anne Lipscomb, Mary Catherine Hopson (Robert) and Elizabeth Blake; his nephews, James Hopson and Derek Smith; and his niece Rebekah Smith.
