Jessica Leigh Smith Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessica Leigh Smith (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on March 18, 2023, at the age of 39. She was a light to all that met her. Her favorite color was yellow, and her favorite animal was the owl. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading, music, and cooking. Jessica showed love, kindness, and empathy to all. She was a true friend and encouraged others to live out their dreams. Playing the recorder brought her joy. However, her favorite instrument of all was the harp. She was even able to perform with others. Jessica leaves behind her mother (Lynette Hackney), 2 sisters (Sharon Newell and Patricia Smith), and many family members and friends. She will be truly missed.

Note: There will be a private invitation-only gathering to put Jessica Smith to rest.
