It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Mann Watkins of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Mann Watkins to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Jackson Watkins; her daughter Sara Ann Moylan; and her siblings, Dorothy Wagoner, Martha Smith, John Mann and Kent Mann.
She is survived by: her sister Sara Mann; her daughters, Nancy Watkins (Mike Mason) and Mary Kelly (Rich Kelly); her son-in-law Bob Moylan; her grandchildren, Jamey, Robby Moylan, Whitney Simpson, Brad Simpson, Martha Kiem, Jeb, Matt and Tom Kelly; and her close friend Jodie Lee. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Triangle Grace Church (5001 Tudor Pl, Durham, NC 27713).
