It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Kenneth Bell Sr. (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh C. Bell Sr. and Dolly Funderburk Bell; his children, James Kenneth Bell, Jr. and Kimley Bell; and his siblings, Hugh Bell, Jr., Charles Bell and Myrtrice Bell Donner.
He is survived by: his wife Caroline Privette Bell; his caregiver Anna Garris Bell; his daughters, Iris Bell of Durham and Karen Bell Moore (Derek) of Durham; his stepson Sean D. Garris; and his grandchildren, Antwain Bell, Bryant Bell (Dominique), James Kenneth Bell, III, Courtney Wright, Derek Moore, Kelly Moore, Kendrick Smith-Bell and Dimicio Kendrell Taylor-Bell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
