He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Deas Sr. and Alberta Deas; and his siblings, Sarah Eaddy, Bertha Mae Dorsey, Ruby Byrges and Richard Allen Deas.
He is survived by: his children, Ekechi Lumpkin (Carl) of Durham, NC, Mark Deas (Jessica) of Oxford, NC and Lonnie Earl Deas of Durham, NC.; his significant other Georgia Degraffenreidt of Durham, NC.; his close friend Lolarine Horton of Durham, NC; his siblings, Robert Deas of Durham, NC., Zelma Jones, Mary Fulton of Johnsonville, SC and Victoria David (Michael) of Florence, SC.; his grandchildren, Roney Dewayne Deas, Toney Jewayne Deas, JáNeesha Matlock, Jermicia Deas, Jasmine Gerst, Asia Deas, Kayla Deas, Mark Deas Jr. and Serenity Deas; and his great grandchildren, Elton Andrews, Zahir Deas, Kinsley Deas, Jaxen Deas and Éluyas Matlock. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
