We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2025, at the age of 90, Geneva B. McDougald (Durham, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Geneva find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Buie and Christine Buie; and her siblings, Annie R. Graham and Herbert L. Buie of Baltimore. She is survived by: her son Brucie; her grandsons, Jelani Winston, Jonathan Winston and Willie Vaughan; her daughters, Gwen Buie-Wright (Michael) of Durham, NC and Yvonne Winston-Lynch (Evzell) of Lake Mary, FL; and her niece Donna Jackson. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Home (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Clements Funeral Chapel (1105 Broad St, Durham, NC 27705).
