He is survived by: his daughters, Kristin Rhone (Steve), Susan Blair and Karen James; his grandchildren, Samantha (Jeff), Megan, Caroline, Helen Anne, Abby, Tully, Alisha and Angie; his daughter Stella Jean; and his siblings, Margaret Thompson (John), David Mesich and Tom Mesich (Deborrah).

“I first met Frank when he was playing tuba with John Ely's Salty Dogs, and I was a substitute on trombone. His Dixieland skills both on tuba and trombone were extraordinary. He was kind, thoughtful, helpful, and a fine mentor/music friend! I remember him teaching me how to properly gather a microphone cable. I had planned to attend the service/gatherings you held last week. Sadly, my wife has suffered her second brain bleed in two.5 months and needed me, and still does.”
