He was predeceased by: his father Clifton Floyd; and his siblings, Steve Floyd, Billy Floyd, Bobby Floyd and Dell Critcher.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Pegram Floyd; his children, Eugene Franklin Floyd, Jr. (Paula), Debbie Williams (David) and Rachel Phipps (Ray); his brother Ben Floyd; and his grandchildren, Sherron Coghill (John), Brian Williams (Laura), Stephen Rigsbee, Dana Gay (Michael), Nathan Sherron (Carson), Dillon Floyd, Nick Sherron (Allison) and Dale Floyd. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
