With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David William Schomberg of Durham, North Carolina, born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 2, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Schomberg and Dororthy Schomberg; and his wife Doris Schomberg. He is survived by: his sons, David Schomberg Jr. (Regina) of Clemmons and Carlyle Schomberg (Katie) of Waynesville; his siblings, Rodger, Anne Fleischman and Jane Craig; and his caregiver Rosa Tilley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kimber/Schomberg Culinary Scholarship, Alamance Community College Foundation or Grace Lutheran Church.

I learned so much about him through my daily discussions with Rosa, she and Dave formed a bond quickly where he shared his love of his family, and memories of his life. He will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure and honor or knowing him. Kris O'Brien”
