It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darron Rush (Durham, North Carolina), born in New York, New York, who passed away on October 10, 2024, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Josephus Rush and Karidean Rush (Davis); his wife Carmen Rush; his children, Justin Rush, Brandon Terry Rogers, Alexis Warrick, Deonna Rush Leyva (Samuel) and Darrius Rush; his pet Nate; his grandchildren, Jayden, Amon, Zariah, Alanna, A'nyah, A'nahla and G'yahni; his siblings, Micheal McCord (Gwen), Kelly Bigelow, Travis Rush, Maximo Rush and Debra Rush Murphy (Kirk); his niece McKayla Murphy; his nephews, Anthony Rush, Michael Terrence McCord Jr. and Michael Anthony Love; his aunt Dorothy Murray; his uncle Nathaniel Rush; his cousins, Hattie Edwards and Jesse Nesbitt; his godmother Josephine Williams; and his goddaughter Getiera Shackleford.

Viewing was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary United Church of Christ (1715 Athens Ave, Durham, NC 27707). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
