He is survived by: his wife Mary Goodwin; his stepsons, Preston of Durham and Cameron Lavinder (Carly) of Greensboro; his grandsons, Henry, Jackson and Beau; his brother Wayne Goodwin Goodwin (Liz) of Hillsborough; his mother-in-law Pat Joklik of Durham; his sister-in-law Frances Magruder (Jim) of Linville, NC; his nieces and nephews, Mary Beth, P. J. Roberson, Trey and Chuck Roberson; his brother-in-law John Roberts Downey (Betsy) of Richmond, VA; his nephews, Corbin Downey and Rob Downey (Taz); his niece Elizabeth Rand (Ben); his sister-in-law Vivian Joklik of Seabrook Island, SC; his nieces and nephews, Larissa and Alina; his brother-in-law Richard Joklik; his nieces, Judy, Ella and Lisa Goodwin Kaye (Steve) of Walltownship, NJ; his great-nephews, Drew and Matt; his great-niece Sarah; and his nephew Chad Goodwin (Becki Cleveland) of Carrboro.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (810 W Chapel Hill St, Durham, NC 27701). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (801 W Chapel Hill St, Durham, NC 27701).
