He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer G. Brown and Connie Belle Brown (Kornegay); his son Daniel Elmer Brown, Jr.; his wife Barbara Ann Brown (Poag); his daughters, Deborah Kaye Brown, Jennifer Brown Kaczynski (Scott) of Fleetwood, NC and Virginia Leigh Brown; his grandchildren, Benjamin Daniel Kaczynski and Sophia Belle Kaczynski; his sister Betty Brown Kirby; his nephew Michael Barfield Kirby (Julie); and his great-nephew Brian Bennet Kirby (Celeste).
