Christine Heilig Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christine Heilig of Durham, North Carolina, born in Northfork, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill and Maggie; her sister Yolanda Jackson; and the father of her children Garnett Heilig Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Garnett Jr. (Tanishia Heilig) of Durham and Tiffini (Marcus Price) of Fairburn, Georgia; her grandchildren, Na'Jah Lemons, Ny'Keria Fralin, Gabrielle "Missy" Heilig and Tristan Chestnut; her great grandchild Leighton Diehl; her goddaughter Brianna White; her siblings, William Jr. (Renee White) of Northfork, Leslie Hopkins of Roanoke, Virginia, Reginald (Diane White) of Rich Square, Robert (Regina White) of Northfork, Vanessa (Marcus Wilkes) of Northfork, Robbin (Donald Hairston) of Northfork, Kenneth L. White (late Sharon) of Aurora and Darlene (Darrell Kent) of Statesville; her nephew Clifton (Ashanti Johnson); and her close friend William "Smitty" Smith. She is also survived by nephews and nieces; her cousins, friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Missionary Baptist Church (123 E Barker St, Northfork, WV 24868). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery (6605 New Hope Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701).
