It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Chris McDonald (Durham, North Carolina), who passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Chris McDonald to show support.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Fuller McDonald and Christine Sykes McDonald. He is survived by: his children, Blair McDonald Welborn (Spencer) and Cole McDonald (Peggy); his former wife Carolyn Snipes; his siblings, Tom McDonald (Betsy), Todd McDonald (Kim) and Gayle King (Ray); and his grandchildren, Addison and Brooks Welborn. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church (1320 Umstead Rd, Durham, NC 27712). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to North Carolina Fallen Firefighter Foundation.
