She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Alice Sink Haithcock and Hubert Haithcock. She is survived by: her husband Philip Thompson (Phil); her daughter Amy Thompson; her son-in-law John Brown; her sister Mary Jo; and her cousin David Sink (Sybil).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grey Stone Baptist Church (2601 Hillsborough Rd, Durham, NC 27705). Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery (1605 Bahama Rd, Bahama, NC 27503).
