She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Elliot Shaw and Dolphine Shambley Clements; and her brothers, Tacy Tilley and Johnny Tilley. She is survived by: her husband Daniel Rippy; her children, William Russell Rippy, Daniel "Danny" Rippy Jr. and Wendy Roberts; her grandchildren, Shayne Roberts and Richard Jackson; her brother George Shaw; and her aunts, Myra Faye Sorahan and Juanita Barton.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Duke Cancer Institute in honor of Mrs. Rippy. Donations may be mailed to 300 West Morgan Street, Suite 1000, Durham, NC 27701.
