With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ann Lominac Kanoy in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on March 11, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her spouse Dr. Burrell Edmond Kanoy, Sr.; her parents, Richmond Carl and Jessie Ada Phillips Lominac; and her siblings, Marie Louise Lominac, Freida May Penland, Lois Yvonne Amico and Harold Richmond Lominac.

She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Burrell Edmond Kanoy, Jr. (Laura Parra) of Durham, NC, Kenneth Drake Kanoy (Barbara) of Durham, NC and Michael Brooks Kanoy of Apex, NC.; and her grandchildren, Leah Frahm (Chris) of Raleigh, NC, Moriah Smith (Josh) of Charleston, SC, Jenni Allen (Josh) of Charlotte, NC and Christopher Kanoy (Lauren) of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Kanoy requested that contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Durham, NC for its foreign mission programs.
