It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Simpson of Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on December 20, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Powers and Payton Powers; her husband Albert Simpson; and her siblings, Ruth Phipps (Billy), Jackie Crawford and Joe Powers (Ann).
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Anderson (Harry) of Spruce Pine, Terry Simpson (Jill) of Durham and Ronald Simpson of Carthage; her sister Joyce Bissette (Larry) of Bennett; her grandchildren, Nathaniel, Monique (Vincent), Keegan (Samantha) and Mindy (Cale); and her great grandchildren, Carlee, Cooper, Maggie, Audrey and Sadie.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Red Branch Baptist Church. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Alice "Kay" Simpson 's name.
