She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas "Doc" Dennis; her parents, Paul Hicks and Hattie Hicks; and her sisters, Polly Hicks Jaber and Mary Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Dennis (Barbara), Rickey Dennis (Andrea) and Brenda Dennis Cole; and her grandchildren, Michele Dennis Graham (Steve), Kim Dennis (Valerie), Chris Dennis (Julie), Laura Soldevilla (César), Heather Dennis and Blaine Dennis (Mary). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Duke's Chapel United Methodist Church or Transitions LifeCare.
