He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Allen and Modell Jackson Smith. He is survived by: his wife LaRue Warren Smith; his children, Warren Smith (Tilghman) of Myrtle Beach and Debbie Shipp (Mike) of Raleigh; his grandsons, Julian (Allie), Hunter (Megan Shipp) and Reed Smith; and his great grandchildren, Ciaran, Addie, Gabe, Oakley, Anna Jane and Charlotte Shipp.
